Bucerius Center on the Legal Profession

Bucerius Open Innovation Lab

The Bucerius Open Innovation Lab created by Bucerius CLP is a collaborative research and development platform for legal departments, law firms and alternative providers. The Lab seeks to collect data and develop knowledge and insight about the future of the lega service market and on ways to design and steer the collaboration between participants such that it is future-ready and appropriate for the market.

A driving force and impetus are social megatrends such as Globalization 2.0, digitization and the changing workplace and their implications for legal departments, law firms and alternative providers. The Lab also integrates the results of a study conducted in 2014 by Bucerius CLP together with the Boston Consulting Group. The study presents and examines the developments of three significant legal consulting markets, namely Germany, Great Britain and the United States, as well as their future and expected changes.
